The touchscreen on the Paperwhite is surprisingly responsive. (…) But page-turning is a bit of a setback. It’s good that you can use the touchscreen to turn pages, but why not include dedicated page-turning buttons as well?

There should not just be buttons for page-turning, but great buttons. Buttons exquisitely designed and engineered to be perfectly placed and delightfully clickable.

Amazon’s goal should be for Kindle typography to equal print typography. They’re not even close. They get a pass on this only because all their competitors are just as bad or worse. Amazon should hire a world-class book designer to serve as product manager for the Kindle.

To jedna ze słabszych recenzji Grubera, szczególnie pod względem samej treści, ale zwraca uwagę na bardzo ważne rzeczy. Po pierwsze – nowe czczionki nie są wcale takie dobre. Po drugie, powinny być przyciski do przewracania stron – bardzo chwalę sobie te w moim Kindle 4, chociaż nie są idealnie pod względem ergonomii. Właśnie dlatego nie chciałem modelu z ekranem dotykowym, a teraz nie ma wyboru. Ekran niestety też nie jest równo podświetlony, co może zniechęcać.

Pomimo tych wad, jestem w 99% pewien, że wkrótce zakupię ten model – to jedyny sensowny czytnik obecnie na rynku, którego ekosystem powoduje, że Nook mnie kompletnie nie interesuje.
