From now on, all new kits will asynchronously load fonts. This will significantly improve your website performance. However, it can also cause the browser to render content in a fallback font before your web fonts load. This so-called Flash Of Unstyled Text can be controlled by using the font events provided by Typekit. Using font events, you can choose either to hide your content, or to show fallback fonts while your web fonts are loading.

To świetna wiadomość. Niestety trzeba stworzyć nowy Kit oraz wstawić nowy embed na stronę. To raptem minuta roboty, a zyski potencjalnie ogromne.

This is version 1.9 of the application, and it’s packed with improvements. Most notably for Typekit customers, your fonts will sync more reliably when switching network connections — something we know has irked many of you.

Sync fontów dotychczas działał „średnio na jeża” – mam nadzieję, że teraz ruszy z kopyta. Przy okazji dodano też opcję automatycznego aktualizowania aplikacji CC.

Są dwa razy drożsi, ale mają coś co nazywają ScreenSmart — fonty wysokiej rozdzielczości, które wyglądają świetnie nawet przy rozmiarze 9 px. Chciałbym to zobaczyć na Retinie … Niestety, gdybym chciał korzystać z ich usług, musiałbym wyłożyć $149 rocznie.
