Diet Coda dostała darmowy update do wersji 2.0 z Panic Sync i innymi nowościami, w tym nową nazwę. Polecam, bo taniej nie będzie.

As we continued to work on Coda 2.5—a significant update that we’re really excited about—we continued to discover new corners of the app that presented challenges under sandboxing. Coda, to be fair, is a very complex developer tool and is something of a sandboxing worst-case scenario.
Apple, to their considerable credit, spent a lot of energy assisting us with ideas, workarounds, and temporary exemptions we might be able to use to get around some of the issues. Apple genuinely went above and beyond the call of duty, and we’re really thankful for their help. We got extremely close and jumped over a lot of tricky hurdles thanks to them.
Unfortunately, though, we’ve run out of time.
Niestety, problem sandboxingu jest realny. Dobry dla użytkowników, ale dla zaawansowanych narzędzi niestety zbyt mocno je ograniczający. Szacunek dla Apple, że próbowali. Jeszcze większy dla ekipy Panic, która umożliwi przejście z wersji Mac App Store na „zwykłą”. Nie zmienia to jednak faktu, że to problem dla firmy z Cupertino…

Sprzedaż rusza 24/05, więc teoretycznie za godzinę z hakiem, a ceny wynoszą $49 i $10 odpowiednio za Coda 2 i Diet Coda. Nie jest jasne czy przecena Diet Coda też będzie trwała 24 godziny, ale jeśli chcecie to nie zastanawiajcie się.
