As for the rumored US power adapter redesign, Moca.co says that production is underway and it’s likely the new version will launch with Apple’s next generation iPhone. Moca.co also notes that the new design is only slightly larger than Apple’s current US power adapter, but will supposedly carry a maximum output of 2A, which is twice the output of the current adapter and “may save you up to 30% charging time.”

Mniejsza jednak o sam kabel – ciekawsza jest informacja o nowych ładowarkach 2A, które są mniejsze od tych dostarczanych z iPadem. Zawsze mam problem z jego spakowaniem do torby…

We raised the possibility yesterday of the iPhone 6 including a redesigned USB to Lightning cable that allows the USB end of the cord to be inserted into a USB port in either direction. In other words, like the Lightning connector, the next Apple USB cable could be reversible.

Jeśli Apple to rzeczywiście zrobi to albo będzie musiało nieźle zapłacić firmie UltraTek, która to już opatentowała w 2010 roku, albo sprawa skończy się w sądzie – to są moje przypuszczenia, chociaż możliwe jest, że firma z Cupertino podeszła do tematu na swój sposób i nie narusza niczyich patentów lub już dogadała się w sprawie licencji. Tak czy siak, nie mogę się tego doczekać i to pomimo, że nowy standard USB jest w drodze.
