This could pave the way for an extreme version of a MacBook Pro — something designed with Mac Pro levels of performance. That’s something that will surely appeal to digital video and audio professionals, graphic designers, artists, engineers, developers, scientists and others who want the most performance possible out of their Macs.

Po pierwsze, jeśli taki komputer by powstał, to procesor prawdopodobnie trafiłby do modelu 15″. Po drugie, gdyby jednak trafił do 13-tki i miał ECC RAM to brałbym go bez zastanowienia, chyba że cena powaliłaby mnie prawym sierpowym.

Finally, the slides confirm that Intel will continue to make U-series CPUs with a 28W TDP and faster Iris-branded integrated GPUs, though we know very little about any of them. There will be one Core i7 chip, two Core i5 chips, and one Core i3 chip, and they’re all coming in the first half of 2016. That’s the sum total of what we know.

These CPUs are also used almost exclusively by Apple—historically they’ve been included in the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro to give it a bit more firepower than the 15W CPUs would. Expect the same thing to happen in the Skylake generation.

The Core i7-6700K and Core i5-6600K are the first from Intel’s sixth-generation Core processor family, codenamed Skylake, and they’re targeted squarely at performance enthusiasts. The two desktop chips are clocked at 4GHz and 3.5GHz, respectively, across four cores.

Wiem, że iStig już ma 6700K u siebie od tygodnia. Problem ma taki, że niestety Apple jeszcze nie uaktualnił iMaców i dopóki to się nie stanie to nie będzie stawiał hackintosha na nowych podzespołach. Jeszcze miesiąc lub dwa…
