Samsung Galaxy Note 3 ma „region lock” – fuckup na całego →

26 września 2013 · 15:45

David Meyer:

I really thought the days of region-locking were dying with the DVD, but it seems I was wrong – Samsung has decided to revive the odious practice with its Galaxy Note 3 smartphone.

Yes, if you buy an unlocked Note 3 in Europe and travel to, say, the U.S., you will not be able to use a local SIM card. The same applies the other way round. In other words, you will be forced to pay for your carrier’s outrageous roaming fees or go Wi-Fi-only.

Kupujesz telefon w Europie, nie włożysz do niego karty SIM z innych części świata. Dla wielu to nie będzie problemem, ale sam fakt istnienia czegoś takiego jest taką bzdurą, żeby nie kupiłbym, dla zasady.

„Faux leather” — Samsung Galaxy Note 3

4 września 2013 · 22:18

Vlad Savov:

The back cover is now made up of faux leather on the outside but is still the exact same thin plastic as before on the inside. It really has no right to work, but Samsung has actually pulled off its design very well. Even the false stitching detail doesn’t look too bad. The sides of the Note 3 have been given a metallic look, though they too are plastic, while their lined appearance is intended to emulate the profile of a closed notebook.

Klasa. Wytłuszczenia moje.
