Apple’s valuation is now higher than the gross domestic product of Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, or Taiwan.
Note that it makes no sense to compare the market cap of a company to a country’s GDP. One is an asset value, the other is income.
Saying that Apple is worth more than Poland is false. You could say that Apple is worth more than Poland produces in one year.
…Unless you equate a country’s yearly production with its entire net worth in which case Poland is really, really cheap.
